Goodwill Fire Company launched a rescue boat and began the rescue operations. Delaware City and Holloway Terrace joined in on the rescue.

The couples are ok and did not require medical assistance.

Strong winds were a factor in the severe storm many experienced along the East Coast. During the storm, accidents, wires down and flooding just seemed unavoidable. The storm began with dark clouds, followed by strong winds, and down pours that lasted about an hour in our area.

Fortunately, the couple’s sailboat could be saved.
