New Castle: The sign on this door says, “Walk In”, but this business got a rude awakening shortly after 4:00 P.M. Friday afternoon when a vehicle “Drove In”, through the front doors of the Tobacco outlet store in the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center.
Emergency crews arrived at the structure, located in the 1500 block of North Dupont Highway and found a black colored vehicle partially crashed into the front doors of the business.
After failing to remain parked, the operator of the vehicle, for unknown reasons jumped the parking block and crashed into the structure.
Although, the structure suffered severe damage to the front of the business no other business or vehicles were seen to be damaged.
The operator was not injured and it is not believed anyone inside the business was injured.
Delaware State Police are investigating.
