Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that sent one victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Monday night!
Greenwood: One man was shot in the Greenwood area on Monday that sent him to an area hospital. Police learned of the incident when the Kent County Emergency Operations Center received a call from the hospital between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., reporting the arrival of a 32 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower torso.
According to Master Corporal Gary Fournier, spokesman for the Delaware State Police, Upon being shot, the victim called an area relative, who transported him to the hospital where he was treated for the non life threatening injury.
A preliminary investigation determined that the shooting occurred in the area of Unity Lane northeast of Greenwood.
The investigation into this incident is on-going and no suspect information could be provided.
