A fire is under investigation at the Macy’s store in the Concord mall that caused an estimated $150,000.00 in damages according to the state fire Marshall’s Office.
WILMINGTON: Fire crews from multiple fire companies from the north Wilmington and nearby Pennsylvania areas were on the scene of an apparent fire at the Macy’s store at the Concord Mall.
It was shortly after 3:00 P.M. Thursday afternoon when the emergency calls began to come in. Shortly after, Talleyville’s Ladder 25 arrived, and smoke was seen coming from the building.
According to the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office, the building’s sprinkler system suppressed the fire which was mostly confined to a storage area off of the main sales floor. Damages are estimated at $150,000.00.
The fire remains under investigation
