New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that injured a 15-year-old boy in the community of Edgemoor.
WILMINGTON: A 15 year old boy was shot around 10:55 P.M. Monday evening in the unit block of South Pennewell Dr. County Police responded to the area after receiving calls about shots being fired. Officers located the boy and administered first aid then he was taken to an area hospital for treatment for what police say is a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
According to police spokesman, J.P. Piser, Detectives were called to the scene and have assumed the investigation. This is an active and ongoing investigation; further information will be released as it becomes available.
