After being shot in Lancaster Village, victim shows up at hospital

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that injured a 26-year-old man in the community of Lancaster Village.

WILMINGTON: Police on Tuesday responded to Lancaster Village at about 1:30 A.M. for a report of a shooting but found no victim in the area. Later that morning, police located the victim at an area hospital where he was being treated for an apoprent gunshot wound. He was treated for the non-lifethreatening would and released.

According to police spokesman, JP Piser, Detectives responded to the scene, located on Faulkland Rd in the area of RT 100, and have assumed the investigation. Piser added, “this is an active and ongoing investigation; further information will be released as it becomes available.”
