New Castle County Police have arrested Michelle Reed, 54, following a drug investigation in the community of Taylortowne.
NEWARK: Police say on Tuesday, they arrested Michelle Reed, 54, of Taylortowne after a month long investigation that was the result of a community tip they received.
According to police spokesman, JP Piser, during the month of March, 2017, Mobile Enforcement Team (MET) officers received information about Michelle Reed selling heroin from her home in the unit block of Opus Dr. MET officers, along with detectives from the Drug Control Squad (DCS) conducted an investigation and obtained a search warrant for the residence.
Piser said, on Tuesday MET and DCS officers served the search warrant and took Michelle Reed into custody without issue. During a search of the residence, police located 169 capsules of heroin as well as Adderall pills.
Michelle Reed was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver Adderall, possession of heroin in a Tier-1 quantity, possession of Adderall without a prescription, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned and issued $13,500 unsecured bail. She was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution due to outstanding capiases unrelated to this investigation.
