Police: warn of thieves in North Wilmington Communities

Officers responded to multiple thefts from motor vehicles in the communities of Dartmouth Woods, Brandon, Channin and Brandywood.

WILMINGTON: Police on Friday are warning residents to “Park Smart” after officers were called to the communities of Dartmouth Woods, Brandon, Channin and Brandywood for reports of thefts from vehicles.

According to police spokesman, Tracey Duffy, officers learned “all of the vehicles were left unsecured during the overnight hours” when unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicles, removing miscellaneous items.

A victim did report a burglary to the garage of their home in the 2500 block of Dartmouth Woods during the same time frame, Duffy said.

Residents are reminded to “PARK SMART” by locking car doors, removing valuables and keys.
