The New Castle County Police are currently investigating the shooting of a 40-year-old man that occurred in Pine Valley Apartments.

NEW CASTLE: A 40 year old New Castle man was transported to Christiana Medical Center on Thursday evening at about 11:00 P.M. after being shot by two men.

The unidentified man told police that he was sitting on the steps to an apartment building located at the Pine Valley Apartments in the 500 block of S. Dupont Hywy when two men approached him and began firing shots at him. Police say, one of those shots hit the victim in his upper extremity.

According to police spokesman, JP Piser, the New Castle County Police, Criminal Investigation Unit is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to please contact the New Castle County Police by dialing (302) 573.2800.
