Child struck by stray bullet in Chester

An 11-year-old child was wounded by a stray bullet that pierced through a home in Chester, Delaware County, police say.

CHESTER, (PA.) Police say someone fired shots outside a home in the 3400 block of Township Line Road shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday. That’s when an 11-year old child was struck by at least one of the stray bullets. The bullet entered the home through a screen door and hit the boy in the chest.

EMS took him to Crozer Chester Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition. officials say, he was then transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Police are still looking for the shooter, and are asking anyone who has information to contact investigators at 610-447-8420.
