Police are currently investigating a shooting scene at the Suburban Plaza Applebees that occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
NEWARK (DE): Shortly after 2:00 a.m. police and emergency responders were summoned to the Suburban Plaza Applebees for a report of a shooting. When Newark Police arrived, they found a victim leaning up against a vehicle applying pressure to what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
In a press release, preliminary reports indicate that the victim, who is an employee of Applebees, was walking to his vehicle when he was confronted by two male suspects.
During the robbery confrontation, the employee was shot in an extremity. The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
Police are searching for the two suspects. The first male is described as a black male 6’3 to 6’4 weighing about 250 lbs and the second suspect was described as a black male, 5’7, and appeared to be thinner.
At least one of the suspects was seen with an unknown make and model hand gun.
