New Castle County Police have arrested 43-year-old Timothy Holahan for Terroristic Threatening in the neighborhood of Northridge.
WILMINGTON (DE): To put your child on a bus takes a lot of trust for parents. Not knowing if they arrived at school safely or returned home after school can be nerve racking for some. Thanks to one trained school bus driver with Colonial School District, this bus driver did what parents would expect him to do in order to return their kids to their homes safely.
According to police spokesman, Michel Eckerd, New Castle County Police Officers were dispatched to the neighborhood of Northridge on Thursday in reference to a report of a Colonial District school bus driver being threatened by a passing motorist.
The victim stated that while he was driving up a hill on Causez Ave., a black SUV was traveling the opposite direction at a high rate of speed approached him. The victim then reported that he pulled the school bus over to let the car pass, however, the driver of the car stopped and began yelling at him.
The victim stated that the driver of the SUV was screaming that the bus driver was speeding. After the victim stated that he was not speeding the suspect continued and screamed that he would shoot the victim in the head.
The police investigation identified the driver of the SUV as 45-year-old Timothy Holahan. Timothy Holahan was arrested and arraigned on the charge of misdemeanor Terroristic Threatening. He was then released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
