If you drive in Sussex County, DELDOT announced that Todds Chapel Road will be closed from 7:00 a.m. Monday February 5th until late March.
GREENWOOD (DE): DELDOT’s contractor, Zack Excavating will be closing the bridge over Quarter Branch Ditch on Todds Chapel Road between Wheatfield Road and SR 16/Hickman Road.
According to an earlier press release, “This project involves the replacement of the existing three corrugated metal pipes with three reinforced concrete pipes. Additional work includes minor reconstruction of the roadway approach and placement of riprap in the stream to prevent further erosion.”
Detour Routes:
Eastbound traffic on SR 16 will continue east past Todds Chapel Road, turn left onto Nine Foot Road, turn left onto Wheatfield Road.
Westbound traffic on Todds Chapel Road will turn left onto Wheatfield Road, right onto Nine Foot Road, right onto SR 16 and then right onto Todds Chapel Road.
Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
