On Friday, an 18-year-old Wilmington man succumbed to his injuries almost five hours after walking into the Wilmington Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.
WILMINGTON (DE): On Friday around 4:30 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to the Wilmington Hospital in reference to a shooting victim who walked into the hospital. Police say, when officers arrived at the hospital, they made contact with an 18-year-old male who sustained more than one gun shot wound to his torso.
In a Friday press release police said, “The victim is currently undergoing surgery. His condition is unknown”.
Officials say, After the shooting in the 2300 block of N. Pine Street, Zahviaire Berry-Shivers, 18, of Wilmington was driven to the Wilmington Hospital by a private vehicle. It was 4:59 hours, 29 minutes later that he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. .
