New Castle County Cold Case Detectives have released a new video to their Cold Case Facebook page hoping to draw attention to one of their cold cases.
NEWARK (DE): Cold Case detectives released a Facebook video that features the homicide of 16-year-old D’Andre Green, murdered in December 2013 at the Brookside Community Center.
According to police spokeswoman, Heather Carter, On December 28th, 2013, New Castle County Police responded to the community center for a subject shot. Police learned that a fight broke out inside the community center which led outside into the parking lot. The investigation revealed that D’Andre was not involved in the fight.
In the video, D’Andre’s mother, Kendallyn Green, recalls that fateful night when she got the call. “We get a message. It was his best friend, Julian. He was screaming and hollering, and I said Julian, calm down, calm down, what’s going on? and he’s like, D’Andre’s been shot.”
His father, Wayne Green, explains, “the last call we got was, he was supposed to be coming home. He wasn’t going to hang out with somebody’s kid. He went to the party and he was going to come home.” But that didn’t happen, and Detectives are asking the public’s help in solving this cold case.
