NEWARK (DE): Detectives from New Castle County Police are investigating after one person was shot in Newark.

According to police spokeswoman, Heather Carter Jaffe, Police were dispatched to the intersection of Malvern Road and Augusta Drive around 2:00 a.m. for a shooting that had occurred. They learned that one person was shot and transported to an area hospital by emergency services.
