8 teams vying for Unified basketball state crown

Fourteen high schools tipped off in December to officially launch the inaugural season of DIAA/SODE Unified basketball. Of the 14, eight have advanced to the first ever Unified Basketball State Tournament.

WILMINGTON (DE): Mount Pleasant is the top seed from the Blue Hen Conference, joined by Glasgow, William Penn and Newark Charter, the No. 2 – 4 seeds, respectively.

In the Henlopen Conference, Caesar Rodney earned the No. 1 seed with Milford, Indian River and Dover rounding out the south bracket.

Playoff games begin the week of Feb. 25 at the higher-seeded school and the championship game is set to tip off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 at the Bob Carpenter Center.
