One dead, one injured in overnight Wilmington Shooting

ONE DEAD ONE INJURED IN OVERNIGHT SHOOTING.

 

WILMINGTON (DE): A 29 year-old Dover man is dead and a 29 year-old Philadelphia woman was seriously injured in a shooting that occurred just blocks from downtown Wilmington just before 10:00 p.m. last night.

Wilmington police say that they received calls about shots fired at 7th & N. Tatnall Street Wednesday night. Officers who were on patrol responded to the scene and located two gunshot victims. Both victims were transported to an area hospital where the 29 year-old Dover man was pronounced dead, and the 29 year-old Philadelphia woman was in stable condition.

Meanwhile, at the crime scene, police cordoned the scene with yellow tape and N. Tatnall Street was closed off between 7th & 8th Streets while they investigated. Homicide investigators arrived on the scene around 10:30 p.m.
