A SWAT team was activated shortly after this incident but it is unknown if their activation was related to this incident as investigators probe the shooting scene at 24th & Carter Streets.
WILMINGTON (DE): On Saturday Wilmington Police responded to a shots fired complaint on the city’s east side and sealed off the area and began investigating however, their investigation revealed that no shots were fired according to police spokesman David Karas.
Earlier that evening around 9:00 pm, Wilmington Police were summoned to 24th & Carter Streets for a report of shots fired. Police did not release any information that evening because it was unfounded. A silver colored was parked on the corner with it’s hood up seemed to be the focus by investigators but the incident was unfounded.
