Goodwill Fire Company was dispatched to the scene just before 3:00 pm on Clymer Street, and reported smoke showing from the residence..
NEW CASTLE (DE): Additional fire companies were called in to assist including Port Penn and Christiana Fire Companies.
The fire was extinguished and brought under control within 20 minutes, but adjoining homes suffered some damage. Tori Reed lives in an adjoining home and she said, “We have a lot of water damage, our upstairs is completely flooded.”
When asked about how the fire may have started, she said, “I’m not sure, but everyone is okay, just a little shook up”.
We are waiting to hear back from Goodwill Fire Company for a comment for this story. Sources at the scene tell us there was no injuries.
