Wednesday, May 1, 2019, the Delaware State Police held their annual Police Memorial Service and Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Delaware State Police Headquarters in Dover, Delaware on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
Fellow Troopers, Family members, Relatives, and Friends gathered to remember those Troopers who have made the “Ultimate Sacrifice” in service to the State of Delaware.
Twenty-Four, (24) Troopers have lost their lives in the line of duty since 1923.
Governor John C. Carney Jr., Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, Attorney General Kathy Jennings, Secretary Robert M. Coupe, Department of Safety and Homeland Security, Colonel Nathaniel McQueen Jr., Superintendent of the Delaware State Police, Lieutenant Thomas Brackin President of the Delaware State Troopers Association and Mrs. Eleanor Allione was in attendance and provided opening remarks.
