Dover home struck by gunfire Tuesday morning

The Dover Police Department is investigating an incident where a home was struck by gunfire on Tuesday morning.

DOVER (DE): According to police spokesman Mark Hoffman with the Dover Police Department, at approximately 4:38AM, officers responded to the 500 Block of Roberta Avenue for a report of multiple shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings on the roadway and found that a home in the 500 Block of Roberta Avenue had been struck multiple times. While the home was occupied by several people, no injuries occurred.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130.

Tips may be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
