Police say they are now investigating a homicide after a 45-year-old male was found dead in a car.
BRIDGEVILLE (DE): The 45-year-old male victim from Bridgeville, DE was transported to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and later turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science.
His name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin., police said.
According to police spokeswoman, Melissa Jaffe, Troopers responded to the 1100 block of Evans Drive, Bridgeville, DE for a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, they located a blue Honda Civic stationary in a lightly wooded area just off of the roadway, with a sole occupant in the driver’s seat unresponsive. Troopers determined that the occupant sustained gunshot wounds and was deceased.
The incident happened around 11:22 Am. on Wednesday morning, Jaffe said.
Police say there is no suspect information at this time and the incident continues to remain under investigation by the Homicide Unit.
