New Castle County Police are now investigating a homicide after officers found a 42-year-old man shot in a Wilmington apartment.
WILMINGTON (DE): New Castle County Police say officers found a man shot in a Wilmington apartment around 10:00 Pm. Thursday night.
According to police spokesman, Garcia Lopez, units were dispatched to the unit block of Simca Lane at the Dorjul apartments for a report of a shooting that had occurred.
Lopez said that several units were dispatched and upon their arrival, they found 42-year-old Roger Williams with a gunshot wound.
Williams was treated at the scene however after arriving at a local hospital, died.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation., Lopez said.
