Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki and Parks and Recreation Director Kevin F. Kelley Sr. today announced revised, more convenient hours for the additional food sites around the City that were announced earlier.
Wilmington (DE): The new locations were added so that all eligible children and teenagers (any child under 18 years of age) can receive a combined breakfast and lunch meal. The so-called “grab and go” meal sites are in addition to regular after-school food sites around the City.
“We want to make sure that the young people who need a meal have the opportunity to get one within a reasonable distance from their homes, and also at a time that works for them and their families,” said Mayor Purzycki. As many as 900 meals will be available each day at 12 locations around City. These sites are in addition to the regular after-school food sites that are available.
