New Castle (DE): As Delaware continue to battle an uncertain virus that has infected 38 Delawareans to date, and continue to sweep across the nation, New Castle County Police wants to remind everyone that they are still here.
According to police spokesman Michel Eckerd, “The men and women of the New Castle County Police have been and will continue to focus on one thing-keeping New Castle County safe.”
Eckerd said that all police operations remain fully functional. Officers continue to proactively patrol the county, respond to in-progress calls for service, and emergency calls.
Eckerd reminds everyone that “while we are practicing social distancing at headquarters, we are not always able to do the same while responding to calls. So, there may be some requests made of you as the officer responds. Please be patient and understanding as this virus affects us all.”
