“As he fled the room, he was cut by the knife. The victim suffered a laceration to his arm which did not require medical attention.”, Rubin said.
Police say the female was identified as Saline Chandler, 26, of San Jose, CA. She was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
During a search incident to the arrest, a knife was located. In addition, marijuana and paraphernalia were also located., Rubin said.
Chandler was transported to Newark Police headquarters where she was charged with:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Assault Second Degree
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Chandler appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #11 by video and was ordered to be held in default of $5,500 secured bail. Chandler was released after bail was posted.
