Keeping families, individuals, and neighborhoods in our City safe

Wilmington (DE): Mayor Mike Purzycki and the Wilmington Community COVID-19 Mobilization Group (C19MG) remind City residents of several upcoming opportunities to get tested for COVID-19.

City and State governments, in conjunction with various community partners, have established a number of permanent and one-time health assessment and test sites in the City. The locations, dates, and times for the sites are included in this release.

Mayor Purzycki today thanked Christiana Care, St. Francis Healthcare, Westside Family Health Care, Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, Nemours Children’s Health System, the Latin American Community Center, and the Kingswood Community Center for their collaborative effort. The Mayor also thanked all of the brave, dedicated men and women working on the front lines of this pandemic for their help in keeping individuals, families, and neighborhoods healthy and safe during this time of crisis.

Upcoming one-time health assessment and test sites:

• Wednesday, May 20, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Judy Johnson Park, located on North DuPont Street and West 3rd Street. This is a walk-up event.

• Wednesday, May 20, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Casimir Pulaski School, located at 1300 Cedar Street. This is a walk-up event and is limited to residents who live in the area of Browntown/Hedgeville, Bayard Square, and Canby Park.

• Tuesday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, located at 601 New Castle Avenue in Southbridge. This is a walk-up event.
Permanent health assessment and test sites, staffed by Christiana Care:

• The Latin American Community Center’s MOB Building (3rd and Harrison streets) on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• The Kingswood Community Center (2300 Bowers Street) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
