Update/06/22/20: The Dover Police Department has identified the identity of a woman who was found deceased in a shed on June 7th, 2020. The woman was positively identified as Kathy Noble (59), originally from the Florida/Georgia area. Next of kin was able to be notified. The death is not considered suspicious.
A death investigation is underway after a body was found shortly after 11:00 Sunday morning in a Dover area shed.
Dover (DE): An address investigation by Delaware Newsline revealed that the shed is on the grounds of the Kent County Probation and Parole Division which is located in the 500 block of Maple Run Parkway. It is also unknown if the Probation and Parole division shares the grounds with another business or not.
Police say the body was found after an employee smelled an odor coming from a shed and called 911 on Sunday morning.
“Officers arrived and located the body of an unknown female inside of the shed. Based on the officers observations, it appears the woman was homeless and has been living in the shed for some time.”, said Dover Police spokesman Mark Hoffman. “The identity of the woman and cause of death is unknown at this time, but foul play is not suspected.”
Hoffman said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delawarecrimestoppers.com; a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest.
