Windle was located and apprehended at the Best Western Galaxy Inn in Dover by U.S. Marshals’ First State Fugitive Task Force on Saturday.
Milford (DE): Police say they have arrested 19-year-old William J Windle Jr. of Hartly for an attempted robbery incident that occurred on June 11, 2020 in Milford.
Police say “Windle was wanted out of Milford PD for an Attempted Robbery/Reckless Endangering incident where it was alleged that he and two other unknown suspects fired multiple gunshots into a vehicle and attempted to rob one of the two victims inside of the vehicle during the early morning hours of 06/11/2020.”
According to a news release from Milford Police Department, Windle was located and apprehended at the Best Western Galaxy Inn in Dover by U.S. Marshals’ First State Fugitive Task Force on Saturday.
According to Detective Tim Maloney, “Windle was transported back to Milford PD where he was charged with one count of Attempted to Commit Robbery First Degree, one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, 2 counts of Reckless Endangering First Degree, one count of Aggravated Menacing, one count of Stalking, one count of Conspiracy Second Degree, and one count of Criminal Mischief Over $1000.”
“Windle had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court 3 where he was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $105,100 USC cash bail only.,” Maloney said. “No contact orders were put into place between Windle and the victims in this case.”
