Police: Preliminary findings revealed that this incident is not related to the most recent incident in this community.
Wilmington (DE): New Castle County Police are investigating yet another shooting that occurred in the same community in less than 24 hours that left another victim at a local hospital.
According to a news release, police were dispatched to the unit block of Court Drive shortly after 1:30 Sunday afternoon for a shooting complaint. As police arrived on scene and an investigation ensued, police determined the shooting did not occur on Court Drive but at the corner of Court Drive and Sussex Rd.
Court Drive and Sussex Road is in the community of Greenview at Chestnut Run which is an apartment community located near Centerville off Lancaster Pike in Wilmington.

Investigators determined that the shooting incident is not related to an earlier shooting that occurred on Saturday and found a crime scene on Court Dr.
This is the second shooting incident on the same street and in the same community in less than 24 hours. Around 9:30 am. Saturday morning police were investigating a shooting in the unit block of Court Drive.
“The initial investigation revealed that a Red Honda Accord was involved in the shooting and had fled the scene prior to police arrival.,” said police spokesman Garcia Lopez. “Elsmere Police Department spotted the suspect vehicle in the area of Watson Ave, and Ogle Ave and attempted to stop the driver. The driver of the suspect vehicle refused to stop and fled from the officers.”

Lopez said the chase continued to the area of Rodman Road where 34-year-old Desidel Juarez was taken into custody after an altercation with the arresting officers.
