MILFORD (DE): Police have confirmed that a body that was found on North Shore Drive in Milford was in fact storm related as they had earlier suspected.
Police were summoned to the North Shore Drive for a missing person report around 11:45 am Tuesday. Troopers say 73-year-old Gloria Babel could not be located by a family member and raised concerns for her safety because the Troppical Storm Isaias was still active in the area.
“A search of the surrounding area revealed a large branch had broken off a tree onto Gloria, and she was located deceased underneath.,” according to police spokeswoman Heather Pepper.
The victim will be turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
