Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Edgemoor Road in Wilmington early Monday morning.
WILMINGTON (DE): Police say they are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot from a moving dark colored SUV on Edgemoor Road early Monday morning.
Police say it happened just before 2:00 a.m. Monday morning.
Police were called to the area and located the 17-year-old boy with a single gunshot wound to his left leg. He was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he is being treated for the gunshot wound.
“The initial investigation determined the male victim was walking alone on Edgemoor Road when an individual riding on Edgemoor Road shot him.,” said police spokeswoman Heather Pepper. “The only suspect information known at this time is the suspect is believed to be a male occupying the rear seat in a dark-colored SUV.”
