LEWES (DE): A 22-year-old man is fighting for his life after falling 14 feet from a 2nd floor in a home that was under construction police said Tuesday.
The injured man was airlifted to Christiana Hospital by Delaware State Police Aviation unit.
The 22-year-old victim from Philadelphia, PA was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Police are withholding his name at this time.
Police say the accident occurred Monday just after 4:00 p.m. in the 31000 block of Temple Road in the Governors Development in Lewes.
Police say the victim was on the second story of the residence standing on a 2×4 while installing floor joists in place. The victim lost his footing and fell approximately 14 feet onto a concrete slab below.
