WILMINGTON (DE): 30-year-old Domingo Cosmeof New Castle was arrested by Delaware State Police after police say he fled when they tried to stop him in his vehicle in Edgemoore.
Police say the pursuit began around 10:00 p.m Wednesday night.
According to a news release, the Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force (GTF), conducted proactive patrols in the area of Edgemoor when the traffic stop was initiated.
“Unit members observed a red Nissan Altima traveling on Governor Printz Blvd. approaching Edgemoor Road commit a traffic violation for failure to signal.,” said police spokesman Jason Hatchell. “GTF initiated a traffic stop, but the operator refused to stop and fled eastbound on Edgemoor Road.”

Hatchell added that a subsequent search of the vehicle lead to the discovery of a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Cosme was transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Felony), Disregarding a Police Officer Signal (Felony), and Failure To Signal.
Cosme was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $3,100.00 unsecured bond.
