Wilmington Police are having a busy day today as they investigate three shooting incidents that have injured multiple people Saturday morning.
WILMINGTON (DE): Gun violence has once again broken out in the city of Wilmington after having two days of gun silence.
This morning just before 10:30 a.m., Wilmington Police were called to the scene of a shooting in the 500 block of South Locust Street. Police say there was no victim at the scene because he arrived at a local hospital. Police have identified him as a 20-year-old male and say he is listed in stable condition. Then around 12:30 p.m., Police arrived on the scene of a shooting at Taylor & Pine Streets Police say that victim also arrived at a local hospital and have been identified by police as a 32-year-old male and is listed in stable condition. While investigators were still investigating the Taylor & Pine Street shooting, shots rang out in the 2300 block of N. Pine street. Police say that victim also arrived at a local hospital and have been identified as a 22-year-old male. Sadly, police say he is in critical condition. It’s unknown if the three shooting incidents are related and Wilmington Police will not collaborate on the shooting investigations.
Prior to today’s shootings, the last time the sound of gun rang through the city was on September 9, 2020, when three people were killed in two separate shooting incidents.
