Responding officers located a 27-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
WILMINGTON (DE): Wilmington Police are investigating another shooting death and it doesn’t look like there will be a cease fire to the gun violence that has plaque the city over the past several days.
Police say the shooting occurred just before 9:00 p.m. Monday in the area of Vandever and Locust steet.
Responding officers located a 27-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Tuesday, police identified him as 27-year-old Damar Smith.
It’s unknown what has caused the uptick in gun violence over the past several days. The uptick in violence started Saturday when one person was killed and three others were injured in three separate shooting incidents that stretched across the city.
On Sunday, the shootings slowed down but didn’t give up as one person was killed in yet another shooting incident in the 1700 block of Tulip Street.
