Police are investigating a report of a shots fired incident in the city’s Browntown neighborhood Wednesday night.
WILMINGTON (DE): Police say there was no shooting incident however, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue shortly after 11:00 P.M. for “Shots Fired” as dispatched by Wilmington Police Department’s Emergency Communications Center.
Shortly after, investigators arrived on scene and was seen taking photos of a parked car. As officers canvassed nearby adjoining streets for any possible evidence, evidence markers lay at what appeared to be some sort of projectiles in the shape of bullet casings.
“We received a report of shots fired, with property damage.,” said police spokesman David Karas. “No one was injured in connection with this incident.”
Police are still investigating.
