NEWARK (DE): Police say they are investigating a unlicensed massage parlor that has caused some confusing with a licensed massage parlor near the same location.
According to police, “In early September, 2020, the Newark Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit initiated an investigation into an unlicensed massage parlor at 220 West Park Place based on numerous complaints of possible prostitution occurring at this location.”
This location differs from a licensed massage studio located at 226 West Park Place which is NOT the subject of this investigation., police said.
“On September 24, 2020, Newark Police Detectives, assisted by the University of Delaware Police Department, executed a search warrant in furtherance of the investigation.,” said police spokesman Andrew Rubin. “The City of Newark Code Enforcement Division assisted with the investigation and the location was condemned due to code and licensing violations.”
