Police did not release any other details and cited the incident remains under investigation.
WILMINGTON (DE): Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 1:05 a.m. in the unit block of 9th Avenue in the Browntown neighborhood.
According to a news release, police located a 20-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.
On Saturday police said the victim died as a result of his injuries and was identified as 20-year-old Kayveon McGriff.
Police did not release any other details and cited the incident remains under investigation.
The last shooting in Browntown was just two days ago in the 1800 block of Maryland Avenue. Police say an 18-year-old man arrived at a hospital in stable condition. It’s not clear if the two shooting incidents are related.
Six people have been injured and one person have been killed in Wilmington gun violence since Monday September 21, 2020.
