At the hospital, the victim was taken into surgery; where he is listed as being in stable condition.
NEW CASTLE (DE): New Castle County Police say the are investigating a shooting that occurred earlier today in the community of Dunleith.
Police say patrol officers were dispatched to the crime scene in the 400 block of Morehouse Drive shortly after 12:00 noon. At the scene, officers discovered a 48-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
According to police spokesman Michel Eckerd, “The officers administered first-aid until New Castle County Paramedics arrived., police say.”
The victim was treated by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to a local area hospital where he was taken into surgery and is being listed in stable condition.
