When police arrived at the scene, the victim had already been transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.
NEWARK (DE) | 09/30/20: Delaware State Police say they are investigating a shooting at the Town Place Hotel in Newark Thursday night.
Police say a 28-year-old Newark man was wounded during the incident and was transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.
Troopers were called to the hotel at 410 Eagle Run Road shortly after 8:00 p.m. At the scene, several casings and a magazine were found in the parking lot.
Police say the victim sustained a graze wound to the back of the head , and do not have any suspect information at this time. No one else was injured during the incident.
