A family member responded to the residence and discovered the male victim unresponsive on the kitchen floor.
MAGNOLIA (DE): A 77-year-old Magnolia man was found assaulted and unresponsive by a family member Sunday morning, Delaware State Police say.
Police say they are investigating the assault that critically wounded the Magnolia senior citizen.
Police did not release much details about the incident but said troopers were dispatched to the home on Moores Drive in the Meadowbrook community Sunday around 11:00 a.m. for a report of an assault that had occurred.
Police say a family member responded to the residence and discovered the male victim unresponsive on the kitchen floor.
The victim had visible signs of physical injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition, police say.
