18-Year-Old critical after being shot Thanksgiving Day in Wilmington

No other information was released about the shooting and police say the incident remains under investigation.

WILMINGTON (DE): Wilmington Police say an 19-year-old Wilmington man is in critical condition after being shot early Thanksgiving evening.

Police say they are investigating the shooting that occurred at approximately 4:10 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Street.

According to police spokesman, David Karas, officers located the 18-year-old man with gunshot wound (s).

The victim was treated at the scene by EMS and New Castle County Paramedics before being transported in critical condition to a local hospital.

No other information was released about the shooting and police say the incident remains under investigation.
