The troopers injured during the crash were transported to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries, and released.
MILLSBORO (DE): Delaware State Police say 25-year-old Rahman K. Miller of Millsboro is behind bars after he put his vehicle in reverse and rammed a Delaware State Police vehicle in an attempt to flee.
Police say the incident happened on Wednesday December 2, 2020 around 12:30 p.m.
Delaware State Police say troopers attempted to make contact and arrest Rahman Miller at the BP Station located at 32369 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, for an active warrant out of Sussex County Superior Court.

According to a news release, when troopers saw Miller returning to his vehicle, a Delaware State Police divisional vehicle activated its emergency lights and pulled in front of Miller’s car.
Police say The trooper identified himself and gave commands for Miller not to return to his vehicle or move. It’s unknown if Troopers had Miller at gunpoint at this time but in spite of those commands, police say Miller entered his vehicle.
At the same time Miller entered his vehicle, another trooper pulled up behind Miller’s vehicle. Miller then put his vehicle in reverse, accelerated, and rammed the state trooper’s vehicle causing extensive damage according to police.
Police say Miller continued to attempt to flee in his vehicle as other troopers arrived on the scene., screaming commands for him to exit the vehicle which Miller ignored, troopers were eventually able to open Miller’s door, and after a struggle, they were able to remove him from the driver seat.
Police say Miller continued to struggle and not comply with commands to place his hands behind his back but was eventually taken into custody.
When things calmed down and police were able to evaluate Miller, he did not appear to have any visible injuries and refused medical attention, police say.

During Miller’s arrest and pat down before being placed in a police vehicle, police say they found approximately 13.02 grams of Powder Cocaine, Approximately 0.049 grams of Heroin, 3 Buprenorphine Sublingual Strips, and approximately $307 in suspected drug proceeds
Police also searched Miller’s vehicle and found Drug Paraphernalia, Approximately 10.11 grams of Marijuana, 1- 2mg Buprenorphine tablet,
Miller was transported to Troop 7, where he was charged with the following crimes:
Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Felony), Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony), Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (2 counts- Felony), Resisting Arrest (Felony), Disregarding a Police Officers Signal (Felony)
Criminal Mischief, Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Reckless Driving, Failure to Have Insurance Identification, Driving Without a Valid License, Failure to Have Registration in Possession, and Possession of Marijuana (Civil Violation).
Miller was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $10,200.00 secured bond.
