New Castle (DE): Police are investigating a shooting in Rosegate that left one person dead and one critically injured Thursday afternoon.
Police say they were called to the area around 2:00 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Officers arrived in the 100 block of Rose Lane to learn that two people were shot and transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.
When investigators arrived at the scene they learned that one of the victims had succumbed to his wounds, and the other victim was currently in critical condition at a local hospital.
Update: On Monday December 21, 2020, police were able to identify the victim who died as 29-year-old, Dakevis Reed.
