36-year-old man dies at scene in spite of all the efforts of officers and paramedics to save his life.
NEWARK (DE): In a week of violence that has struck New Castle County like no other week in the year, another victim have fallen to gun violence once again.
A 36-year-old man is dead in spite of the hard and long efforts of officers and arriving EMS and Paramedics to save his life.
We don’t know who that man is but officers were dispatched to the unit block of Bristol Way in the community of Kingston Court to investigate a report of a shooting around 5:00 a.m.
Officers located the 36-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The officers, assisted by other emergency first responders administered first aid, but were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that the investigation is still ongoing and in its early stages and that additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
New Castle County Police Chief COL. Vaughn M. Bond reacted to the most recent shootings in New Castle County saying, they are working diligently to identify those who are responsible.

“On behalf of the men and women of the New Castle County Division of Police, I wish to express our condolences and prayers to the families who lost loved ones during this most recent spate of violence.” stated Colonel Vaughn M. Bond, Jr., “I can assure our communities that we are working diligently to identify those responsible for the shootings that killed four residents since last Thursday. We will use every resource available to bring those responsible for these murders to justice; however, we can’t do this alone. We need for the community to come forward with any information that may be able to help these families that are in the darkest days of their lives.”
