NEWARK (DE): Newark Police are investigating a shooting incident in a busy downtown area market plaza.
Police responded to the parking lot of the Market East Plaza Thursday evening around 6:15 p.m. to investigate the shooting complaint.
Officers located spent shell casings in the parking lot and two unoccupied vehicles that was damaged by the gunfire.
Police say no one was injured during this incident and through witness interviews and video surveillance, detectives determined that a black Dodge Charger, occupied by two males, fled the scene after the shooting.
One suspect was reported to be a black male and the other suspect was reported to be a hispanic male., police said.
