NEW CASTLE (DE): Two people are hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after an unknown vehicle pulled over and opened fire on the two who were in the parking lot of the New Castle Market Monday afternoon.
Police scrambled to the area around 1:16 p.m. Monday afternoon to investigate reports of a shooting.
According to police, a 30-year-old male and a 58-year-old male were sitting inside of their vehicle in the parking lot of the New Castle Market when a vehicle traveling northbound on New Castle Ave stopped on the shoulder of the roadway in front of the parking lot, and began firing gunshots at the victims.
Police say the two men were each shot once in their lower extremities and were transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
