WILMINGTON POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SHOOTING THAT INJURED A 46-YEAR-OLD MAN SATURDAY MORNING
UPDATE: Later that day, detectives, identified 36-year-old Luis Torres as a suspect and he was taken into custody without incident.
WILMINGTON (DE): Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that injured a 46-Year-Old man Saturday morning.
Police say it happened around 11:34 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 5th Street.
According to a news release, officers located the 46-year-old man who was suffering from gunshot wound(s). Police say he was transported to a local hospital in stable condition after being treated at the scene by EMS.

Later that day, detectives, identified 36-year-old Luis Torres as a suspect and he was taken into custody without incident.
Torres was charged with Assault 1st Degree, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.
Torres was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $100,000 cash-only bail.
